Career Coaching

  • Guidance through questions like – what is the right place in healthcare for me? Where do I start? What should I do next?
  • Interview practice and application help
  • Connection to other supportive service resources in the state (transportation, help with bills or child care) and resources for adult education, ESL and programs to help you prepare
  • Discuss training opportunities, funding and scholarships for the following career areas:
    • Nursing (LNA, MA, LPN, RN, MSN)
    • Pharmacy
    • Perioperative
    • Diagnostic/Radiology
    • Medical Laboratory
    • Social Work and Behavioral Health

Funding to help cover your training costs

The following financial, navigational and training supports are available for current and soon-to-be healthcare workers who are pursuing education and training in the rural health career fields that are listed above.

  • Exam preparation/study (e.g. NBSTSA, PTCB, etc.)
  • Exam fees (e.g. NCLEX, TEAS, CCMA, PTCB, etc.)
  • Testing & certification fees (e.g. CCMA, LNA, Pharmacy, etc.)
  • License fees after completion of a training/education program (e.g. Board of Nursing, Board of Pharmacy, etc.)
  • Background check and fingerprinting fees (including credential verification such as international transcripts)
  • Classroom or workplace required uniform costs (e.g. scrubs, close toed shoes, etc.)
  • Other required classroom or employment expenses (e.g. analog wrist watches, stethoscope, etc.)
  • Other out of pocket expenses related to training or job? Reach out to us and we can discuss if the grant can help cover these costs.
