MA Spotlight: Meet Margaret

Margaret is a Lead Medical Assistant at Dartmouth-Hitchcock working in Primary Care at Heater Road. She joined the Dartmouth Hitchcock Workforce Readiness Institute (D H WRI) training program in the fall of 2018. Margaret received her LNA while in high school and worked for an assisted living facility knowing she wanted to expand her healthcare knowledge and clinical experience. Margaret successfully completed her MA Apprenticeship in 2020 and is a valued member of the primary care team at D-H Heater Road. She offers her patients a warm smile, a steady hand while performing vaccinations, and an abundance of care in her role. We are glad to have people like Margaret working in our clinics and as WRI Alumni. “The program was a great way to get my foot in the door and to get experience in a hospital setting. The program gave me the clinical, hands-on training in a fast and manageable timeframe. Being a hands-on learner, I feel this approach impacted my career in the most positive way possible.” Are you interested in starting or furthering your career in Healthcare and becoming a Medical Assistant like Margaret?
