"Working at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center provided a great hands-on experience for me to see how the work I did in the biomedical engineering department directly affected the lives of patients within the hospital.” – Ben, 2023
“As with any job, not every day is ‘exciting’, but as long as you are willing to be a sponge and take away as much as you can from every single day of your experience, you will find that you learn a ton about yourself as an employee, about what areas of healthcare you like and do not like, your strengths and weaknesses, and how you can grow in the future, whether it is by furthering your career in healthcare or somewhere else.” – Alex, 2021
“The work I completed for my internship site gave me the opportunity to gain real world experience while giving my work actual value. Genuine outcomes were created as a result of the work I did, and it was a feeling unlike anything I had been given at the time.” – Chet, 2021
“This internship improved my sense of leadership, and I created lasting relationships with both my mentor and other interns. It opened my eyes to the extensive amount of opportunities that exist in healthcare and public health.” – Ellie, 2021
“My biggest takeaway was being able to witness the importance and intersection of all the different roles it takes to run a hospital and clinic. I learned so much about the value of individualized patient care and I am excited to bring this passion as a future provider.” – Ella, 2023
