Are you interested in working in the healthcare industry, while gaining valuable work experience, and benefiting from bringing the academic study to practice?

Join the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Paid Summer Internship Program for undergraduate and graduate students. Internship sites will be available in a variety of operational, research, administrative and clinical tracks.

We are looking for college students who are ready to put your academic studies into action to some of healthcare’s biggest needs and challenges. Some of our internships for college students are project and problem-solving based, while others are focused on operational experience and career exposure. In addition, as part of a cohort, you will participate in a series of workshops for personal and professional development, mentoring, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of undergraduate coursework
  • Availability to commit to the full 10 week program
  • You must arrange your own housing
  • Eligible for employment in the United States
  • Successfully complete the D-H pre-employment screening process including criminal background check and drug screen

Locations

  • Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, New Hampshire
  • Additional opportunities may be available at other D-H locations

Dates and Hours

  • Minimum 30 hours per week
  • Schedule typically M-F with hours between 7am-5pm, but specific schedule will be arranged with placement site

    1. Complete the Online Application form
    2. Your Resume
    3. Two letters of recommendation
    4. A cover letter that should include information that helps us understand your future career goals/areas of interest, your current studies, and what you hope to learn through a summer internship
  • A selected group of applicants will participate in a structured interview process
